That wasn't the question. For instance, DLB allows me to watch 2 shows at once on a dvr, but not an HR20.

That's insane. I'm just curious as to how much of your day is devoted to watching TV? My wife and I are lucky to get one hour/day (evening). It's a problem when there's 8 shows that we record, and only 7 days in a week.

Two kids (7 and 4) make TV a much lower priority.

I just wish I would have seen all of this before i recently upgraded. I chose not to get the DVR because I didn't think I needed. Now I wish I had. I will probably call to see what kind of deal I can get now.

LOL, I'm not on here 24/7. I only come on to this forum to check to see if there are any updates, new software release, new channels, for minor assistance, etc. I'd say I'm on here a total (max) 10 minutes.

Have you considered counseling for OCD?

The other thing I like that I don't believe that has been mentioned is the ability to infinitely hit rewind\replay when watching sporting events. Also, using slow motion.

...when I tried to upgrade to two HR20's the rep said I could only get one and then another after six months! I have never heard of this before. Is this for real????

because the first time you record something and play it back and the picture quality is absolutely superb you will wonder how you ever recorded and watch tapes from a VCR.

Depends on what area of the country you live in, but here in MN, you'll either freeze to death trying to get enough heat out of your HR20s to stay warm (just a few of them) OR go broke paying mirroring fees (LOTS of them).

There's the old standard, and one meant for people that don't have much knowledge of DVRs in general.. "Record and play back your favorite shows without the need of media (VCR tapes, DVDs)"

    Um..

"Watch a recorded show while recording two others!"

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but your last two haven't been rolled out yet, have they?

That is so obvious that I missed it. Thank you.

As to the last 2 items, I think they will be coming very soon...
