First one since 1882. Next one in 2012. But then, not again 'til 2117.

This was taken right here in Maryland. Too bad it was foggy where I live this morning. I had the filter glasses too.

You mean the capital of Malasia? Actually, it's a little farther west. East, it's a lot farther!!!;)

But I hear they have some of the best Sweetpeas there. Of course, they can't have THE best. :kisscheek

Hey Steve, since when do we need a crisis for a large meteor to strike, or a large earthquake which opens up the fault lines an then causes old dormant volcanoes to erupt. If conditions are perfect enough,, mother nature can hit us harder than any nuke. Speaking of which,, terrorists dont live on schedules or by the news. If they want to strike, they will , regardless of any current crisis's

Those pictures are great Cyclone. Although I admit, I'm sceptical of the authenticity of any picture on the net.

I'm a little hazy on the whole Venus transit strike issue. How long will it take to make its way across the face of the sun?

And as for SteveOx's comments.. he never misses an opportunity to enhance his status as our resident loon.

If you live on the islands north korea can strike a nuke there.

Why worry about North Korea. China can put a nuke anywhere. And you know what? So can FRANCE. Thats right, FRANCE! France has the ability to launch satellites in orbit, and certainly isn't shy about its nuclear might. You can bet they could lob a nuke anywhere in the world if they wished.

Just remember that when you are lying down outside the UN with your sign protesting those frogs. It might be the last day of your life. Next thing you know you'll be talking to Patrick.

    ;)
