This show has run its course. Was great the first couple of seasons but then just got too out there when they started adding Faries and warepanthers etc... Way too many supernatural things going on in that town. Should have just stuck with the vampires and shifters.

It was great for about a season and a half. Then it was terrible. Its been "undead" for way too long; a stake through the heart is appropriate.

I thought the same thing. Just a bit too off the rails after the second season or so.

Sent from the other side of the Milky Way with my S4.

But the series is based on the books, which has Fairies and other creatures. So in that case, they were just following the source material.

ya but seems like they tried to just do too much with this show. Really hard to fit everything from a book into a tv show. Characters got lost many times on this show and I think it has a lot to do with the writers trying to include too many different creatures. Really enjoyed the first two seasons but after that parts of the story just fell off and loose ends were not tied up.

To be fair, I've actually never read the books, so don't really know how far off the rails the tv series has gotten. I'm fine with it ending, I still have Boardwalk Empire :)

What really blew it for me was they established this "undying love" theme back in the beginning between Sookie and Bill. Then they just walked all over it and tossed it in the trash can, and tried to reinvent that with her and Eric, then they chucked that. They lost their emotional compass and focus long, long ago. It's been adrift conceptually for years with no one to care about.
