I've lost all channels on the 99(c) sat, and strengths on 99(s) aren't great either but they work. The other satellites are fine.

Does anyone know which way to adjust the Slimline dish to affect 99 without screwing up the others?. I'm in zip 91403

With the 101 and 103 so close in the sky, the 99 should be fine if those other 2 are. What are your signal strengths for the 101 and 103c?

Yep doesn't sound like an alignment issue, please provide more info on your setup.

Clarification: 99(s) looks like the problem rather than 99(c).
My strengths are all over the place, but look rather dismal:

    101

    86 86 82 26 83 95 82 95
    83 86 83 20 85 96 82 96
    80 100 82 0 82 95 80 95
    83 0 79 100 79 95 77 95

    99(c)
    19 35 23 38 17 31 21 33
    17 30 19 30 19 32 -- --
    -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
    -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

    99(s)
    0 0 0 0 0 73 -- --
    -- -- -- -- -- -- 0 32
    0 0 26 24 49 53 0 0
    -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

    103(s)
    0 0 0 0 0 0 -- --
    -- -- -- -- -- -- 0 98
    68 80 95 94 0 0 -- --
    -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

    103(c)
    62 65 56 59 61 65 54 58
    64 69 56 61 62 71 -- --
    -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
    -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

This is fairly consistent on 2 HR20-700, so thats 4 tuners with similar readings.

    You definitely need a realignment.

The goal if you can reach it is the get average signal strengths up to 90% and above on 99c, 101, 103c, - and 110 and 119 if you have a 5LNB.

99s and 103s will vary depending upon your location and which SAT you get your SD and/or HD locals from.

BUt an alignment is definitely in order ;)

There are two fine-tuning screws on the slimline dish that you can use to make very minor adjustments to elevation and azimuth. There is also a procedure in the manual for fine-tuning the signal using these screws that is extremely specific on how to lock down the 99 and 103 signals....I have used the specific method and I have just played around with the fine tuning screws, and didn't notice a big difference between the two methods. Both work well, and these small adjustments can make a huge difference in signal strength. Here is a copy of the installation manual; my suggestion is download, print this out and use it as your guide. Note that if you have the slimline 3 lnb dish as opposed to the slimline 5 lnb, you do your fine tuning adjustments all off the 101-Just set the tilt to the suggested settings and go from there.

    here is the manual:

Let us know how everything turns out.......

ps-be sure to stand someone in front of the TV who can yell out your signal strengths (or hook the dish up to a small lcd tv and receiver and do it yourself).
