I don't often record PPV movies and I'm not sure I've recorded one on my HR20 before. That said, last night I set up Casino Royale to record at 3:30am on CH 99 (PPVHD).

Today the movie shows twice  in the play list. Both copies are listed as recording at the same time. I have not had time to try to play the movie yet, so it remains to be seen if I got a clean recording.

It also remains to be seen, if I get charged twice for the movie. If I understand correctly, on the HR20 you don't charged for the movie until you watch it. I plan to watch only one copy, just in case watching the other would trigger a second charge.

I can't help but wonder if there are really two copies, or just two entries in the list. Guess I'll find out when I go to delete a copy.

Rahchgo, If you record a PPV while watching it, then watch it again 2 days later, are you saying you incur a 2nd charge for the same movie?

Are both descriptions exactly the same? Both HD?

No, I think he is asking if he will be charged for the second recording if he watches it.

I recorded Casino Royal HDPPV at 1:30am on Wednesday. Thursday morning I had 2 recordings also. However the 1st one recorded from 1:30 till 2:30 and the 2nd was from 2:30 till 4:00.

I decided to just erase them and try it again. This time it worked fine.

I've seen that happen a couple of times (though not since the latest software release). In my case, one recording was 1 second long, and the other was the full recording. Interestingly, the full recording would not playback until I deleted the 1 second version.

No. Concerned that since there are two copies in the list I might get charged twice in some scenario's of watching/deleting them.

Yes. Guess I could have actually phrased it as a question in OP.

Betting that this will be the case when I finally have some time to watch.

    Thanks everyone for the replies.

On closer inspection of the details, the bottom copy in the list is 0 min and the top copy is 2hrs +. Looks likes the same situation as yours. Wonder if it starts on one tuner and then decides to switch tuners for some reason.

Actually, I think what happens is it starts a little early, and so records the last second of the previous showing. I guess you don't see this happen on non-PPV channels because the previous program has a different name and so the software knows to discard it.
