Those channels that were referred to as being on Sirius will also be XM channels as of midnight EST tonight. So, not replaced with Sirius channels as such, in any event.
Isn't it though! I'm always amazed that anyone on this forum actually watches any TV.
The art of multitasking I guess and modern multimedia.:sure:
You are CRAZY. Ron and Fez and FAR AND AWAY THE GREATEST RADIO SHOW EVERRRRR (Noon to 3).
As for the rest of this, it's a 5 year old argument that's been debunked way too many times. Not the least of which is:
- No one has EVER proved how many people signed up. Truth is, it was popular enough to give it to everyone and raise the price of the entire service to 12.99
- XM deciced not to give a washed up DJ $500MM and instead got MLB before Howard even announced he was going to SIRIUS. XM spent their money wiser.
- O&A went to XM 2 years before Howie/MLB deal, and brought Ron and Fez on shortly after. Greatest move they ever made, after all, we could have been stuck with BUBBA CLEM THE DOUCH SPONGE.
Who got the better deal? O&A, MLB, Ron and Fez vs. Stern, NFL and BUBBA? You be the judge.
There are some additional music channels coming soon which will also be on this page when they are ready to go.
The DIRECTV Website has documented the changes at:
Not everyone will be pleased.
Whats the scoop on 830 XM Boneyard XM Boneyard (Not available until 1/16/09) and then under new channels is....830 XM The Bridge (Not Available until 1/1/09)
This has got to be my favorite channel, hate to see it gone (maybe), not sure if Hair Nation will compete with it. Any input on The Boneyard vs Hair Nation from any subscribers of both services??
Hair Nation plays more glam metal. Bone Yard is a combo of Sirius' Hair Nation and Buzzsaw more or less. I've always liked Bone Yard, but Buzzsaw was pretty good too and is more my type of music as it was a little harder edge.
Bill Hutton, PD for Lucy, had a bit of a mockingly thanks for management and everyone on XM Saturday Night. Listening now...looks like he's going to wrap it up with Semisonic "Closing Time".
Update: and now 10,000 Maniacs "Let The Mystery Be"...heh
The Bridge is a new channel that XM isn't ready to deliver until January so that's why that one is delayed.
As for Boneyard, I believe that is one of the ones coming down for some of the Holiday music that comes up, but I can't remember.
And he ends with Green Day - Good Riddance (Time of your Life)
Actually Tori Amos' Nirvana cover of Teen Spirit...I don't get that one.
Channel 870, 873, 877, 878 are showing a channel description of DMX and then in the guide New Audio Service Coming Soon
I seem to remember DMX on our cable tv system back in the ?mid 90's or so... however I do not remember off hand anything about that service... interesting!!
Holly is live. Just heard dogs bark to the tune of jingle bells.
Virus is gone. But my Inno is freaking out...the logos are all mixed up when I cycle thru the guide.
Lithium plays a ton of Nirvana, hence the name of the channel even.

Squizz will never be available anymore? Or well, unless you actually have XM radio. Which I do not, I listen to it through directv.
This is so SAD. I freaking LOVED Squizz. Especially the DJ Grant Random!
