And we now know what is happening with MAV TV and the MLB alternate. 213-1 is the MLB alternate. But I have two of them! One SD and one HD maybe?

I've been suggesting this. Alternates be sub channels of the main.

I love this too. I don't care is SD receivers can't receive it, it's pointless to cater to an outdated technology. Good call Directv!
I hope to see this on NBCSN come Monday, too.

If your receiver is set to hide SD duplicates, one of the 213-1's will probably disappear over time.

Probably. The one I focused on is always slow with that for some reason.

Dumb question (or set of questions) and if they've been answered elsewhere, I apologize in advance.

With FS1/FS2/FXX replacing Speed/Fuel/Fox Soccer, what will happen to Fox Soccer Plus -- and if they get to stick around, will they continue to charge $14.95 for the single channel? I'd love to pick it up (I enjoy rugby/Aussie rules, but can't justify the cost), but hey. As it is, I'm contemplating dumping the sports pack (unless DirecTV comes to their senses and finally picks up at least one of the Pac 12 nets) to help lighten my cost factor...

Why did DirecTV make this so difficult to find? A search for Fox Sports 1 doesn't find it, channel 607 doesn't point you there.

    (It's 219, if you haven't found it)

This is the chance to negotiate for Fox Deportes HD since we will no longer have FSC by Sept 2 and we should have ESPN Deportes by then.

I'm not sure why this didn't happen for you but on my receivers 607 automatically changed to 219 on my favorites list without any intervention on my part.

When I tune to 607 I get a message saying that the channel moved to 219.

Aussies Rules and some Rugby is going to be aired as soon as tonight on FS2! No need for FSP sub anymore!

Sure if you only want 2 games a week and don't care about which team is playing. FSP will still continue to have more games.

Fox Soccer Plus would be much easier for me to justify if it were HD full-time instead of just a few live events in HD. I just don't understand why they haven't made it full-time HD.

Did DirecTV move the BTN alt's to another sat? Don't see them listed in the SD guide anymore, or will they reappear when the games are on.

It's sticking around but no word on package changes.

FOX Sports COO Eric Shanks said:
“FOX Soccer Plus will continue to feature a wide assortment of terrific soccer and rugby matches from UEFA Euro 2016 and 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, CONCACAF Champions League, Gold Cup, Women’s U17 and U20 tournaments; FA Cup; Hyundai A-League; International Challenge Cup; NWSL; UEFA Europa League; 10 different international rugby tournaments and leagues; plus a variety of related highlight, magazine and original programs.”

FOX Sports COO Randy Freer, meanwhile, discussed the role that FOX Sports Go will play, which is the new app to launch in August in conjunction with FOX Sports 1. Freer revealed more details about whether soccer coverage would be available, too:
“We’ll launch Fox Sports Go, an app for authenticated subscribers, in conjunction with Fox Sports 1 with significant ‘couch rights,’ a one-stop experience. It will, of course, be your app for scores, highlights, VOD, but also one’s entry point to FOX Soccer Plus and other vehicles we have. It is a significant move to an aggregated application for TV Everywhere as well as your daily sports habits, like scores, highlights and fantasy. Through it, we’ll have curated channels around our sports pillars that will provide us a leadership position by delivering massive video content across multiple platforms beyond the big screen

8/18/2013: Fox Soccer+ is showing nothing but re-runs of soccer matches played earlier this month. What a waste of money.
