If you read through old threads/posts about grounding you will find that there is a difference of opinion in how the ground of the DPP44 is accomplished. There is concern about actually using the DPP44 as a ground junction. When I had my 622 installed, the DPP44 in already place and grounded without blocks in the Coax cables. The installer said that the ground was proper and noted it on the work report. I have one 622 in line with the power inserter as I don't have any other option. Having the 622 in line with the inserter has caused no problems.

Grounding the 44 switch is only an external grond does not ground the cable.
