Just the other day, I mentioned my receiver had been running problem free since November 2006. That must have jinxed it. This morning when I started the TV, I got a message telling me to call Dish Network and posted an Oef1 error message. I called the number and was walked through a hard re-boot. The DVR part of the receiver shows "Feature Not Available" message. The technician I talked to told me the hard drive has failed.

A new box is on the way

I only keep (kept) a few hours on the drive. I use the DVR to schedule TV watching. Programs I want to keep I burn to DVDs using my spiffy new Panasonic DVD/VHS box. The sad part of this is this one worked great (still does) thru the HDMI port. Hope the replacemnt one does as well.
