They only become interesting when they block out the sun for a few months.
Or blow up next to where yoy
Or blow up next to where you live.
Or filter out the sun for a few years. Sometimes I get the feeling we're about due for one of those.
I'm hoping that won't happen in my part of the Pacific Rim. But it could....

Not if we get a global freeze over, which would happen if enough particulate were injected into the atmosphere. And that'd shoot global warmists in the feet for a few centuries, too...
However, back to water shortage: Rain very welcome yesterday. Not sure how much, as main gauge wasn't cleared prior to the start. But more than a dusting of precip.....
Your water issue was reported here in the NYC area as being the worst in four hundred years, because of its effect on the nation food production. Cali produces half of America fresh veggies & fruits.
Let's move this water discussion to the California drought thread....
I wonder where the author of the article or study found out what happened prior to 1870's??
And I think Cali is a city in Colombia.
