I'm up and running! Just checked and the Engineering Only Charge has been added to my recent activity. Some DOD channels are still inaccessible, but most seem to be active.

My recent activity states Direct TV on Demand charge, engineering is not mentioned. 0 charge
Why is mine different. In addition,TCM does not allow me to download movies?
    Anyone else have that issue?
I pay for all of the programming.
I am hoping that it is them

Take me off of the unavailable list !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My VOD channels are now availble and the "For Engineering Only - Charge" has been added to my account. I haven't yet played with any of the channels. I'll report my findings once I get a chance to experiment.

    Thanks D* and DBSTALK!!!

P.S. The server response for me is great! Thanks for caring about our experience!

It will take time to be functional. For me about 1 hour passed before I could see few channels.

Mine came on about an hour ago, I then checked my Directv account & there is a 'For Engineering Only - Charge $0.00' now on my recent account activity. This was not there when I came home from work this afternoon. I have several VOD channels showing up now, but not all are active yet. First download was a 24 minute long SD show & it took about 17 minutes on my 3.0mb DSL. Worth the wait, Thanks to all for working on this!

I've got nada, but I'm also having trouble staying connected to the internet. I've had the system require constant rebooting since the upgrade and the internet connection has come and gone a few times (although the network connection is fine).

Bingo! VOD active about an hour ago. . . .

What a traumatic afternoon! First I have no VOD, then these forums disappear!

I actually had to focus on work for a few hours!!!!

DO NOT EVER MAKE ME DO THAT AGAIN!!!!! :)

1st download- 22 minute Dexter's Laboratory 02. Took 11 minutes on a 5 Mbps connection. Played back fine; some slight "unsmoothness" during Trick Play (specifically, saw pixelation on the autocorrect jumpback at FFx1).

Looking forward to playing with this err testing this :) more once the wife and child are asleep.

Thanks to D* and DBStalk for working so quickly and diligently on getting us up and running.

Constant connection shouldn't affect whether or not you are enabled for VOD, so long as the unit was able to call home when they set the list.

Of course, it will be important when you actually download content. :)

As for the reboots, I hoping we that in the other threads--and soon!

    Cheers,
    Tom
