SunSports HD By Sun NOV 4? Even if it is game only for NBALP. The Heat start their season on Thu. Nov 1 on TNTHD and their next HD Telecast is Sun Nov 4 on Sun Sports HD. They'll be broadcasting more than half of the Heat Games in HD this year and it would be nice to watch them in HD as much as possible.

    So any guesses???

Don't you get it as a spot-beam on 96 or 97 for games?

Anything is possible. If anyone tells you they know what or when a particular channel is going on line, he is either very highly placed or wrong.

Yes, the Heat game is on 96, and if the poster is in fact in Miami (s)he should see it there.

The poster is in Minnesota, so there is no chance of seeing the spotbeam on 96.

My bad. I misread the location on a quick glance.

Anyway...Satellite Racer (a trusted source of DirecTV sports info) in his "NHL Fans" message showed Sun Sports as possibly starting in November as a "game only" CONUS channel.

Actually NBA HD was turned on yesterday I beleive. But anyhow there are only ahandful of Heat games scheduled for NBA HD. So getting Sun Sports HD is crucial for us Heat fans that don't live in the area of the Spot Beam.

I hope we get it in the next wave of RSN's.

Maybe I'm missing something - But wouldn't Sun Sports be blacked out when broadcasting Miami Heat games in the OPs case since it isn't his RSN (i.e. he would need to buy NBA League Pass to view the game). I would think the only games the OP would see on the RSN would be his regional RSN and region team - the Timberwolves.

For example, I live in the SF Bay Area (Golden State Warriors) market, however the Sacramento Kings are broadcast on Comcast Sports Net West - but when they play and it is televised on CSNW the game is blacked out, if I want to see it I need to buy League Pass.

Yes, League Pass would be needed to see the HD games.

Correct, precisely why I have subscribed to NBALP, MLBEI, and NFLST every year for the last 5 years. It is the only way to catch my teams games.
