So I'm looking at my Daily Schedule on the 622 to see what's up for recording and on the left column I see a (w) inside a yellow circle. Previously I've always seen a 1, 2 or X in the left column. Does anyone know what this w means?
The timer event in question is for 318 SHOCS The Killing Floor at 11:05 CST. There are no other recordings scheduled anywhere near that time.

The yellow circle indicates OTA and has an antenna symbol in the circle, could what you are describing as a w be in the shape of an outdoor antenna. On my 722 tuner 1 is green, tuner 2 is blue and ota is yellow

That's what I was thinking too... but then he said the timer was for one of the Showtime channels, so that sounds very strange.

That W appeared for all the Timers I set via the web through the DISH web site. It looks a lot different than the OTA, but I haven't set a web timer since I tried it initially.

Indeed, the "W" signifies the timer was set via the web.

Yes, just tested remote access and W means Web timer setup. I suppose Dish hasn't gotten around to adding a tuner indicator so it looks more like the other icons.

It's not a different or new tuner.

It's the icon that's new and with just the W you can't tell which tuner will be used for the recording. They need to add the subscripted "1" or "2" like the other icons have.

I just tested this morning and got same results as you and no msg about the limit of 5. I guess last night Dish Remote Access couldn't connect to my 622 and automatically used the sat signal instead. So "W" probably means Web+Sat, not just web.

If you're connected via broadband and schedule a recording, it will display the normal icon. No broadband and it displays the "W".

I scheduled a recording to my 722 and my 612. The 722 displays the "W" the 612 displays the normal icon. Neither are connected via broadband. I had previously connected the 612 and gone through the setup procedures but it hasn't been connected for a few days.
