Chanukah's already going on and Christmas is around the corner. And of course, there are those with birthdays in the next 45 days.

DBSTalk.com member jodyguercio suggested this thread, and deserves all the credit.

Let's get past the false modesty, wishes for world peace, etc. There is someone out there RIGHT NOW who is wondering how to impress you in the next 45 days. Maybe if you're real smart you can find a way to slyly point them to this thread.

    The Shadow's list:

    Under $50

    Casino HD DVD
    LED D-Cell Mag Lite
    Makita Angle Grinder

    $50-100
Planet Earth HD DVD, BBC edition, NOT Discovery edition
    Matrix Ultimate HD DVD

    $100-$500
Star Trek TOS Season 1 HD DVD
    Schwinn Stationary Bike

I'll probably add to this as I think of more.

I was thinking as I popped open this thread, before I saw your post that I could put something sappy down there like "World Peace" but you killed that thought after I read your post.

Here's the deal, I only want one thing, a Zen 32 GB, it is $349.99 on Creative Labs website (pre-order as of this posting). And, to be sappy somewhat, spend time with my family over the days off I have at the end of the year.

First let me say this..... thanks to Stuart and everyone here at DBStalk for the great info and help you all provide.

    My list:

    1) The new Ryobi 18v Lion cordless set

    2) I have too many DVDs to list

Other than that, I am just really grateful to have a home to celebrate in and family and friends that will be around me for the holidays.

Bosco10021 posted this in another thread but I wanted to incluse it here as well because without them we wouldnt be safe and sound this year...make sure you visit and post a message www.LetsSayThanks.com

    Indian...
I want lotsa rain to fall here in the Southeast, particularly in the Carolinas and Georgia, which are suffering extreme drought.

    I guess I'd like a PS3 40 gig system from tomorrow's Wal-Mart "secret sale". It's a cheap way to get a really good Blu-ray Disc player.

That rocks! I hope she gets it man! I have a 4 year old, whom we're hooking up too. Lucky dog is getting a Hummer RC for one. He loves RCs, and is freaky good at them. So, we got him one. He's getting much more, but I'm thinking that one will be the highlight.

thats cool, now only if we had them when we were kids. but hey reliving your child hood with our kids is what's it's all about.;) :D

last year i got my daughter a Barbie Jeep 12v, she could drive this better than what her mom can drive. i guess that's sad when a 5 year old at the time can drive better than her mom.

this year she wanted the Wonder Pets, which Santa will bring ;) but now i need the Flyboat (which i need to make one) for they aren't sold yet. the hardest part i have is what to give her first. her B-Day is on the 14th, so trying to figure out what she wants first is the hardest since she believs in Santa so much.

Agreed, I live my life through my kids.

My smiddlet still believes in Santa too. In fact we're using it to keep him in check, not too much, but enough that he thinks about what he is doing...

I can't help but get excited for him...

yupper, it works almost every time. and if i remember correctly it worked on me as well when i was a child. my parents told me the same thing.
i would even get a Santa suite to please her in believing while she still can in him. but they cost way to much $$. the cheapest i found was over $300.

My wife and I got our Christmas present a few weeks early this year. We had our second baby boy on the 27th of November (3+ weeks early)! He gave us quite a scare (apparently he thought breating was optional) and spend 8 days in the intensive care nursery, but he's home now and doing wonderfully, so I'll second your sentiment here! I'm just happy to have my family all home and healthy!

Of course, 2 weeks ago, I could have rolled off a whole list of things I'd love to get for Christmas, but they're not all that important anymore! :)

If I had to make a list though... I would like to get an iPhone. Or perhaps another Hr20 (or HR21) for the bedroom. We're looking at buying a new home, which would (of course) require retiring the 46" Rear Projection and replacing it with a much bigger plasma to mount on the wall!

This time of year tends to make seperation/divorce harder. Having done this myself during the Christmas Season too, I can certainly empathize with you. I hope you get your wish and that your coming year brings you the most joy you've ever had!
