I want to be able to tag each recording or series link with a folder, Kids, Mom, Dad, Family etc... I want to be able to record a rated R movie put it in a folder with a PIN so my 4 and 8 year old cant get to it.

I want to be able to set up all of my series links on one dvr and have access to links on all of the dvr's in the house, then let the dvr's choose free tuners to record on.

I guess I really want full access to all dvr's in the house from any dvr.

First I would like the Caller ID feature upgraded so you can delete all of the calls received at the same time rather than do them individually. Second I would like to see sd broadcast in 480p.

For a long shot I would like to suscribe only to channels that I choose, not one of their packages. If I remember correctly congress was once concidering this.

Not only will it not happen, but your wallet would not appreciate the outcome. Not to mention that channels you may love could fall by the wayside and fail, due to a lack of overall support for them.

I agree with Hoosier205 but this is a wish list, not a reality forum. (Any answer works, even silly ones.).

    Outside...
Control of other DVRs over MRV
    à la carte programming
    Locals Only Package
Or "Create your own package" (Say like 15 non premium channels for $25 a month).
HD, DVR, and MRV fees rolled into Premier Package
Ability to backup settings to both your computer (Over network) and a USB Thumb Drive
Ability to move hard drives from DVR to DVR (In the event a DVR failure isn't the result of the hard drive failing)
Ability to backup programs to computer over network (Didn't say playback, just backup, and then restore to replacement or additional DVR)

The On Demand show/movie info screen needs revamping. It forces you to actually click the show/movie selection to see the full description of the show/movie you're interested in and then the ensuing lag switching screens back and forth from menu to show/movie is ridiculous.

A full description needs to be displayed on the same screen as the show/movie menu listings, perhaps utilizing the ENORMOUS amount of blank space on the left of the listings.

They have that for live channels, it is blue and says something like "Searching for Satellite (771)." That only comes up when I have some bad bad weather outside :D

Change on Demand to show only free or channels I get. I don't use it much because I have to scroll through all the stuff that I don't get.

Oh yeah, +1 on that! I hate that, "Oh hey look it's free" ... "Oh, if I subscribe to this premium channel anyway. Hey, that makes it not free!"

    1. HD-resolution guide with at least 2 hours across, preferably 3 (see all of prime time on one screen)
    2. faster guide & channel changes (HR24 may address this, but mine's a 23)
    3. More HD, my favorites aren't on the coming soon list
    4. Significantly viewed locals, especially PBS - whatever happened to this?

I tried to stick to half-way realistic wishes and in fact they took care of one of them this week by dropping the $10 HD fee. I'm also looking forward see to what happens with the Google TV stuff.

    Dripping...
FYI, the new HR24's reboot MUCH quicker (like everything else they do). And if you get a lot of power hits/outages you might want to consider getting a small UPS to connect your DVR to. I have one large enough for the DVR and TV so when the lights blink/go out the TV's still going.
