    The...
    Cable tv, based on my personal experience, is better on 4 out 5 measures:

    * number and variety of channels, VOD, DVRs +
    * picture quality, digital, HD, 3D +
    * CSR service, on-site tech support, 99.9% up-time +
    * bundling of services, convenience, detailed billing, & on-line account access +
    * subscription price, pkg tiers, stb rentals, fees -

    Full disclosure, a former Dish sub, I've had Comcast cable for the past several years. The local franchise, formerly an Adelphia property, is absolutely the best cable system and service with which I have had personal experience. Not perfect, but very, very good. !0,000% better than my cable experiences of 30 yrs ago. <shudder>

    Remarkable, since it was never released as a single: perhaps the only one of this top ten that was not available on "45". I used to program coin operated juke boxes in that era.

    Which was among the last of the "two-sided hits", since it was backed by Reason to Believe.

    AKA, the female Rod Stewart. I remember someone actually got them to sing a duet once, but I don't remember what song they sang.

    Close enough. The first cell phones (Motorola DynaTac) were released 28 years ago, in 1983.

    Well my kids love 80's music specially the punk Rock and the MTV music. , Hell Even I a 70's child love Sinatra Dino and too many other singer from the 60's and 50's. Music from no mater what your generation IMO triggers an emotional response to times gone by. Plus I love all kinds of music from Abba to Zappa and every thing between. I have just bout every genre in mypod, over 2800 songs, got the 160gig (which really only has 149gigs) Ipod. and I have room for another 25 gigs out of the 149 gig it has. I like alot of 2010 2011 artists Like Gin Wigmoor, Emilina Torrini, Lyyke Li, Miss Li, Honeyhoney, Lily Allen and dozens of others. When it comes to music I have a very open palette.

    I like SOME of today's, but given my druthers - I'd rather listen the '80s / early 90's and country.

    For me definitively not cellphone service as I wish they would go away and return some quality of life to this area.

    For the better is the capability, Speed, of computers and the way that video is distributed.
