The 722 has one built-in OTA tuner, the 722k has no built-in OTA tuner, but has a port for the optional MT-2 dual OTA tuner module.

The 722 is silver, the 722k is black.

The 722K replaced the 722 after production and inventory of 722s was exhausted. 722k has some different internal circuitry because it is newer but the same functionality and is also discontinued replaced by the Hopper.

please look back to many many posts when the 722k came - we did chew each part of it ... many times ...the forum is full answers to almost all your future questions ... the model is well known here for a few years ...

really, begin researching, reading ...

OTA is over the air or a TV antenna it is mainly used to tune subchannels not carried by DISH. If you don't use a TV antenna it doesn't matter if you have one or two if it is built in or add on.

I do agree with P Smith you should learn to use the search function it will get you answers to common questions faster than waiting for answers to be posted

The processor speed (DMIPs) is 1100 on the 722k, for the 722 it will be 450. The 722 will have the over the air antenna while the 722k does not. If you like to watch the sub-channels and have an over the air antenna in the home, the 722 has everything you need.
Thanks
