Right now i have the H10-200. Very quick response, i really like it.

I recently got an H20-100 (which turned out that i couldn't activate it) but never the less i was able to play with the menus and such and i really didn't like the slugish feel.

So which H20-XXX has the smoothest, fastest expirience ?
    What about H21-XXX ?

    Thanks!

The H21 is much faster and smoother than the H20 is.

    Bestbuy did have them !

A little off topic... BB asked me for my name and address etc etc...said it was for directv... I don't like giving my name to just anyone for no good reason. so i told him to put joe smoe bla bla...

It has nothing to do with actually calling and activating, or does it ?

    Thanks.

It because you have 30 days to activate the receiver. If you don't they need your info to charge you full price for it.

No ATSC tuner in H21 ... OK if you don't use OTA

99% of HD sets are sold with build in HD tuner.

    Personally no problem for me.

I got the H21 box and i must say its not even close to the fastness of the h10-200

But its not as horrible as the H20-100.

    It's usable... :p

I completely concur, the H21-200 is the undisputed speed demon.

Why in the world would they not put an OTA tuner in it? So, theres no way to record OTA using the HR21?

The H20 still has an OTA tuner in it. I guess if you have the H21 you would hook up your OTA to your TV.

    Outside...
Well the "No OTA Tuner" discussion for the HR21 has some merit, you won't be recording ANYTHING with the H21 anyway.

My H20 was way slower than my H10 until recently. I'd say about a month or so ago it all of a sudden started working much more like the H10. I could only guess there was some kind of software update that fixed problems. Also noticed that the signal strength testing seemed to be working better. When I first got the H20 it would report out strengths 15-20% below the H10. I came here and found out that H20's were famous for that. I stopped paying attention to the H20 readouts until I got my Slimline 3 weeks ago. Now the H10 and H20 give back pretty much the exact same numbers. I did have a problem about a week ago with the remote and slow to no response. Thought it was batteries but a couple of changes and no joy. Finally decided to reset the remote per the on screen directions (apparently sets the remote back to default) and it's working great now, best it has in the year I've had the unit. Really not sure why the reset helped as I have never programmed the remote to do anything but control the H20 but it did.
