Presently we have a Dish 500 hooked up to our 625 and 508 receivers. Before we upgraded to the 625, I had two dishes installed, one pointing at 110, and the 2nd at 119. I have an old Primestar dish I modified pointing at 119, and a 24" dish at 110. We rarely if ever lost signal even in thunderstoms in the summer, and snow in the winter. With all the snow we had last winter, the only time we lost signal was when the snow went up over the dish arm, and interfered with the signal hitting the dish. (Both my dishes are on poles nestled in amongst the trees as it's the only spot to hit the satellites). The Dish 500 lost signal quite a few times this summer, even after having Dish back to re-tune it. I'd like to go back to using the 2 dish solution, and called Dish twice to see which switch I'd need to use. The first person said that what I wanted to do couldn't be done, and the second said that I should use a DP34 switch. Is the DP34 my solution for what I'd like to do? If not, what would be? I have three SW21's still on hand....We don't have any plans until sometime next summer to go HD, but could I use my two dish solution with a 3rd dish for HD then? Thanks in advance!
