I just move one of my receivers (not the one with the DVR) to another spot in the same room. This move required a 100foot cable to be added to go around obstacles. At first I did not get a sat connection, but with the addition of two amplifiers I was able to get signal. I may be able to get rid of one because removing a 90 degree connector at the old outlet was the last thing I did to get the picture to work. Here are the facts:

Cable length to old receptacle - about 40 feet
Additional cable added - 100 feet
Signal amplifiers added on both sides of new cable.
Not getting IP address on receiver (169.254.x.x)
I have another remote receiver that is working fine for whole house DVR
    Receiver type - H25/100
    Software 0x62c
DECA Box seems to be working

Thanks in advance for some help. The lady at Directv was very nice and read the book well, but didn't have a clue. :)

The amps aren't/can't pass the DECA signal bidirectionally, so you've added a block to it.

100' RG6 "alone" shouldn't need an amp, but what else is in your setup?
