Why won't my HR20 record the Bionic Woman?

This pretty much confirms that the NBC guide data is FUBAR. It is marking the Saturday episodes as the "primary" first run while marking Monday's as a repeat.

You'd think with NBC being in last place they'd make sure their guide data is correct. Of course all the networks hate DVRs so maybe they just don't care.

I agree with the guide problem, but arent the tivos doing a better job with this? I like my hr 20 better so thats not a slam...
the tivo did give more info with the program , and I relialize they get the info from the same place, but are the tivos reading deeper into that info?

That would be an interesting nuance to this.

My series 2 DirecTiVo absolutely did record the Monday recording of the show. Whatever guide issues may be happening, TiVo software seems to be able to handle it, while the HR20 did not.

I believe the guide entry was replaced and that he HR20 removed the old entry from the To Do list but didn't add the new one in time. Notice the lag time when adding a new series link before future episodes (that are already in the guide) are added to the To Do list. My theory is if this were instantaneous, a lot of these misssed recording problems would go away.

I am having the same problem and it sucks. Chuck didn't record, nor did Private Practice tonight. Reason shows cancelled in the history, extremely frustrating.

Well...Private Practice recorded here, but you couldn't watch all of it. I paused about 20 minutes in and then I couldn't hit play. The stupid HR20 just hung there for about 5 minutes. Finally I could either FF or RW about 15 min to get to a new point. Then...I get audio dropping out every 5 seconds for about 5 minutes and then it hangs again.

Premier Week Grade for HR20 so far: F :nono2:

I agree with the F rating, HR20 has yet to fix the most important feature of a DVR, consistently recording what you tell it to record!

Many problems here also with unreliable series links using the record screen. This technique has so far worked reliably.
