I voted "I dont plan to watch DirecTv 3D". I just spent 1100 bucks on a new HDTV 6 months ago, why would I buy a 3DTV when so far there's only 1 (part time) 3D channel coming in the future?

Missing a "Depends" option. We are probably going to get a new setup later this year replacing our current HDTV and A/V receiver, so it depends on the price of 3D HDTV's compared to just regular HDTV's.

I wouldn't be surprised if they charged for 3D Access.

ESPN 3D will be part time.
    A 24-hour PPV 3D channel.
    A 24-hour demo.
    A 24-hour specialty channel.
    24-hour Discovery 3D coming in early 2011.

That's not exactly only 1 (part time) 3D channel coming in the future.

And that's exactly what 3D is, it's not for your regular every day viewing. It's for movies, sports, and other specialty things.

You mean like you might have a hot fudge sundae for your birthday, but you wouldn't want one every day. Too much concentrated goodness.
