A joke that is only slightly more exaggerated than the responses a lot of people have posted with regards to wanting to attack Iran now.

It's probably only funny when the nukes aren't pointed at you.

    This line reeks of "touchy-feely":
Sometimes people should really try to look at things from the rest of the world's perspective. To the rest of the world, we come off like a controlling bully all too often. We are increasingly becoming a "do it our way or else" nation.

I don't really give a rats a*s about the perspective of a lunatic radical Iranian President, who wants to kill millions of people.

But wait maybe you're right! Maybe we could invite him over to the U.S., and have cookies and milk (no ham sandwiches) while we ask him to please share his feelings. Why is there such anger in his words? Why are you mad at the Israeli's? Won't you pretty please try to get along. We promise to take your feelings into account from now on!
You might be on to something!

Sorry Tom.. beat you to it.
I've already been accused of exacly those things.

But as I'm much intelligent than you are, I just used subtlety and nuance to get that point across.

Do NOT tell me you're a fan of the Dallas "no class" Stars.

By the way, the Sabres didn't los the cup finals against the Stars... a foot was in the crease in the last goal.

I'll add self-centered to the list then (ading to bully).

You don't care about the perspective of a man who has essentially made an empty threat (because he doesn't have nuclear weapons with which to launch a nuclear attack anyway)... because you're too busy thinking of ways to kill him first!

You know ... the psychiatrists say that if you think people are out to get you that you are being paranoid... Do you see Iranians coming to get you or the US in your sleep?

I just find it amazing that some people can talk about the "evil" Iranians/Arabs/Muslims/whatever and how they "want to kill us all"... and then in the same breath talk about how we must attack and kill all of them.

I'm more worried about feel-good liberals like you getting in charge, and then the Iranians will be coming to get us, because there will be nothing to stop them!
And in my "scenario" of if we let the Iranians develop nuclear weapons, just when do you think we should step in to stop them? When they have Mexico and Canada? Honestly, where do you draw the line? I would love to hear your answer.

I'm still waiting for your answer to why Iran (who doesn't have nuclear weapons) is more dangerous to us than North Korea who actually does have nuclear weapons.

Somehow your fear of a country who MIGHT get them and MIGHT use them is more than for a country that has them and has said they will use them?

Somehow you're off in future-world worrying about Iran invading Mexico and Canada???

How about let's stick with what is going on right now rather than "what if" for stuff that may or may not ever happen.

Using your rules of warfare... the rest of the world should be attacking us right now because we might use nuclear weapons again as we have in the past...

I'm more worried about the hate/fear/war mongers that want to blow up stuff they don't like... and we have a lot of those folk here in the USA. :(

The simplest solution to the problem hasn't been proposed.

WE nuke Israel! Iran now has no need for the bomb and we become friends of everyone in the Middle East! We all live happily ever after. Problem solved.

Makes as much sense as some other proposals in this thread.

We could even make it look like an accident!

People never know where Cheney is. We could claim he was on a nuke sub in the Mediterranean and was playing with the aiming device. He thinks he's drawn a bead on Iran and accidentally pulls the trigger. His aim was off, of course, and he hits Israel instead. Based on recent events, the world would nod its collective head and think, "Yeah, that could happen."

You know what's scary... If, as the current administration says, "all options are on the table"... you can bet that this option actually had been discussed and probably has come up in the past as well.

Isn't that the definition of "all options"?
I'm sure that doing nothing, negotiations, sanctions and many other things we can't think of have has also been discussed. In fact, some of those with more intent than a military option.
Bush has specifically stated that he prefers the dialogue option.

But instead of praising him for preferring the non violent route, you freak out about the fact that the administration has explored all possible options for this.

I suppose he could say, "We're discussing every option except the use of military force." Do you honestly think that would be a smart move?
