I'm in the it's just fine camp. I just want to be able to see the score real fast for my Mets without going online or waiting for the crawl on ESPN/ESPNEWS. It's nice and fast and if I'm not using it I rarely notice when it pops up.

Thanks, Glenn. I don't mind having the feature available (it can be handy), but find its constant announcement of its presence when I'm flipping between games to be a bit intrusive.

I find the MLB.APP for the apple iPhone 3G a good place to start.

You can highlight any current or scheduled game to find out either the current pitchers or scheduled pitchers as well as their won/loss record and ERA.

You can also get the current standings as well.

More data is what the internet is for. I just use it to find if a game is currently going on and where I can watch it. Invaluable for that. But they need to figure out how to get INFO and trickplay to work through interactive technology. This must drive the newbie or casual user insane!

I'd be open to more info being available IF they keep the current "look" when you press the Red button. More info would require another button press.

I like Scoreguide. I use it for a quick glance on how other teams in the division are doing each night.

This is how I use it too. I think it's great as is, as far as amount of information. The only change that I would make is to make it available on all channels. That way my family can watch what they want and I can check the scores without making them change the channel.

For baseball I'd like to see the diamond showing if there are any baserunners. Like was done last year on MLBEI.

It's fine the way it is. If I want more details I can look online.

I'd like to see a little less info in this respect: If I don't purchase the channel, don't give me the option to go to it. MLB for example, I don't have MLBEI so the only game I would ever tune to is the one on a channel in my package, ESPN's, SportsSouth, or PeachtreeTV.

More sports might be interesting. NASCAR, give me the top 5. MLB, baserunners would be be interesting. NBA is fine. NCAAB, top 25 and/or conferences.

Of course we have no idea how they will do football yet. NFL, who has the ball. NCAAF, give me conferences and/or Top 25.

And maybe make it more real time if the receiver is connected to the internet.

Also, is there anyway to add local channels? Example, I'll know there's a Dodger game televised on my local KCAL9 (DIRECTV feed). However, it's not listed as an option within the Scoreguide.

This won't change. They want you to see what you're missing. You may not subscribe but others might.

Based on the quick and easy access...it seems to have what I'd expect at this time.

If not....I always know channel 206, 207, etc. still work. :D

    Delray...
Is it called a score guide, or a game in progress guide? In this world of OCD info overload why not have something simple. Like others said if you want detailed information go on the web or other outlet, gosh even the channel, and get all that data. Keep it simple (and) small.

However I don't think it needs to pop up every single time I am on the channel. And yes, more sports. Soccer, for one.

The ADs show a Nascar tab but I have never seen one, or any racing series, in use. It seems to be just for stick-n-ball sports?

exactly....I've gotten up in the morning say 6 am EST and wanted to check a score and the games have already been updated for that night. I wish they would leave the prior day games up until at least 11 - 12 EST.
