    Was trying to activate a replacement receiver from Directv.
    The computer told me "if you are having problems with your account, please call 800-585-2278.
    Upon calling this number, 3 different times, I always get the same number.:)
    ATT answers and it is for Dish Network..
    Explain this??
    I finally got a live person and he told me that he had no clue.
    Wow, what a great way to keep an old customer.:lol:

    years ago i did some contracting work for directv, and i ran into that in various cities. local retailers or whoever could pay to have calls redirected from specific areas that called the number.
