Hello, I am ready to take the plunge and update my TV to a High Definition TV. I already have a 722 DVR. I am confused as to which HDTV I should get. What is the quality difference between the 1080 vs 720? I am thinking of a 50-55 inch for the size and the only sports we watch are an occasional football game.

Input is greatly appreciated.

I'm wondering, because if my setup, if I have a glitch when it comes to freeviews...

I currently have the Family Pack w/locals and a 722 receiver with HD enabled. So, with this setup I usually get whatever freeviews there are as both an SD and HD channel. But, when the freeview ends (like the recent Bravo one), the HD channel stays in my guide, and the SD disappears. Currently, I'm getting both SD and HD Vs. freeview, and when that ends at the end of the month, then I'll know for sure.

Anyone else have this happening? Not complaining about free HD channels, but just curious. ;)
