New HD Channel Lineup - Updated 7/31/08
Talk about the new DIRECTV Channels: New DIRECTV HD Channels Discussion
Below is the list of new HD channels that are now available on DIRECTV.
Available channels based upon programming packages.
DIRECTV launched some more HD today: Regional Sports Networks:
Plus 7 PPV Channels: 135, 136, 137, 138, 145, 146, 147

This is what lights up on my Elite receiver and TV:
CNN - 1080i DD5.1
ESPN - 720p DD5.1
ESPN2 - 720p DD5.1
NFL - 1080i DD2.0
BTN - 720p DD2.0
TNT - 1080i DD5.1
TBS - 720p DD5.1
A&E - 720p DD2.0
SMTH - 1080i DD5.1
HIST - 720p DD2.0
DSC - 1080i DD5.1
TLC - 720p DD5.1
APL - 1080i DD5.1
SCI - 1080i DD5.1
TWC - 1080i DD2.0
VSGF - 1080i DD2.0
UHD - 1080i DD5.1
HDT - 1080i DD5.1
HDNM - 1080i DD5.1
HDN - 1080i DD5.1
However, we know that UHD actually does 2.0 through the 5.1 active channels, so there could be others.
I left off the broadcast networks, PPV, MLB, ST, and others.

- Disney HD (290)
- Toon Disney HD (292)
- ESPNews HD (207)
In addition - HGTV HD is now 229, not 229-1
- Food HD is now 231, not 231-1
