I thought for sure DirecTV would've added BBC HD the first day they could. Since Dish Network has it, I'm sure Charlie got the best deal available, so I'd think DirecTV would be able to get the same deal. Can't believe they still haven't added it. As soon as the do, all my season passes will be in HD.

Because of Solar Sunspots which have been Predicted by NASA as being the Worst Solar Sunspots that the Sun will Radiate to Earth in the Years 2011 and 2012.

Go Look It Up at NASA's Website.

They knew what about Astrological Cycles and knew that many devastations had occurred before and this will be the Fifth Devastion or Renewal of the Planet Earth as Prophesied also by the Hopi Indians, the Iching Calendar, the Mayan Calendar and Edgar Cayce the Sleeping Prophet.

Ever Heard Of The "GREAT FLOOD"???

And Perhaps You Can Witness Part Of The Great Catastrophe on The History Channel!!!

Looking at Hist Int program guide the next shows are called WWII in HD, Lock n Load with R Lee Ermey (hist of artillery), Battles BC (Marathon), tomorrow they have Ancient Almanac, Haunted History, Pharaoh's lost Treasure, etc. Went through the entire week and nothing about 2012. Just really good programing that looks both interesting and thought provoking.

Yes, I would very much like that channel in HD, it has always been something of an oasis for people with healthy curiosities.

Probably.

Now that I'm retired, I usually go to sleep with one of those channels on a timer.

Love the History channels. Only problem is that they stretch SD material.

Couldn't agree with you more. I like History but when I turn it on and see Stretch-O-Vision, I immediatly grab the remote and start surfing for non stretched HD or 4x3 pillar boxed programing. I hate looking at short fat people, who really are not that way.

If NASA "knows" how bad the next solar maximum will be, how come they were surprised by the last solar minimum? Why did the government incorrectly predict the lack of severity of last years hurricane season?
If you want accuracy, don't look to a government agency. Let alone dead civilizations.
BTW, my calendar ends 12/31/2010. Maybe we we won't have a New Years.

I almost watched PPV yesterday.
These channels were almost launched yesterday.
This was almost good news for me.

You can watch HD channels on an SD TV just fine but if you don't have an HD receiver you can't receive them. If Directv replaces every SD Receiver and DVR with an HD model then they could drop SD and no one would care. It would cost too much to be feasible. My adult son uses an HD DVR with an old 4X3 SD TV and he actually prefers the HD feeds so it would work.

Still expect 1 more Cinema HD (135), and 2 3D (Cinema, n3d) by 6/30/2010.

Then the Q3 HD Anticipation Thread.

Good luck with that channel. However, I’m not sure we’re getting it anytime soon. Anytime we have to ask “why not now”, it is usually not a good thing.

Tons of bandwidth = check
DISH Network has BBCHD = check
Plenty of time to negotiate carriage agreement= check
Plenty of time to “test” the channel = check
Plenty of time to “festivus” this channel = check
More PPVHD added before BBCHD = check

So we have to ask, “why not now”?

I hope you get your channel. Peace!
