Notice this "Reportaje por McGyver el 2/16/2006" mention there though ..

This means this McGyver dude posted this at PRWrestling.com site on this date...

Wonder if he maybe got this information (WAPA America ... will be on ch 829, .. etc, etc..) after reading the info in this thread, or a simular one to this thread on some other site, etc .. or even at TNGTony's channel chart's latest changes ( http://ekb.dbstalk.com/dishlist.htm ).. where the info is arrived from contributors' info, reports, emails, etc as well....

In any case, lol .. All i am saying - Time will show..
If TEST7 will not disappear from channel 829 after a while all together of course.. (cuz it's a Test after all, hehe ;-)) .. but for now.. for now anyhow - Peru Magico TV's content IS being tested there...

(unless of course WAPA America and Peru Magico is the same thing.. which i strongly doubt)

Apparently I have 2 options: (1) Pospone the install until after the Atlanta HD stations are available or (2) Go ahead with the install and then have the Dish 1000 installed along with Dish Pro LNB's for my 61.5 dish and a DPP44 switch to replace my current SW64 and this might be at my expense!

Any other good options?
You can point another Dish300 (18inch) at 129 and connect it via SW21 with the SW64 setup to have a legacy 4 sat solution. This may require you doing the work yourself, or call your local dealer who Dish is going to send out and see if you can get them to do this cheap. It really isn't that much work and will be just as effective. Obviously, it does mean you will now have 3 satellite's on your roof, but it does keep your legacy setup in place and you will be prepared for Atlanta HD on 129, assuming that is where they decide to keep the HD programming.

That wouldn't be entirely accurate... the holder of the construction permit is allowed to construct the facilities and then operate them in a "program test" mode under the construction permit.

Once the facility is on the air, the permitee files an application for a license... commonly referred to as "License to cover" the facilities authorized in the construction permit. The Commission then issues that license in the normal course of business.

This is all procedural/paperwork - nothing unusual about a new TV or radio station being on the air, but the FCC database showing only a CP. Nor is the Commission waiting a while to see if interference happens.

You're Right:
Wapa America is a rebroadcast of WAPA TV Ch4 here in Puerto Rico,as your info states they have a deal with Direct Tv to broadcast this ch in the latino comunities on New York,Chicago and Orlando FL,It has nothing to do with Peru Magico.
