I tuned in this morning before leaving for work and did not see any real HD programming listed in the guide. Anyone know if they will have real HD content?

Nothing on their web site about the HD channel or HD content. I guess the upconverted surf, skate, and snowboard DVDs will look good though.

Im starting to think Directv is adding channels that are not ready for HD yet, just to get HD counts up.

The channels are sending out an HD signal, so why shouldn't DirecTV broadcast them? I for one am glad that DirecTV isn't being picky. They have the space, fill it up with whatever is out there.

I was surfing the newer channels last night, and I'm pretty sure it was Fuel (although it could have been Speed, or perhaps both) that was showing a program that was letterboxed, with black bars on the sides AND top/bottom.
Very funny.

So far there hasn't been 1 second of HD content on FuelHD.
I've seen plenty of HD skating, bmxing etc on HDNet and UHD.
Not sure how DTV and Fuel can have an HD channel thats the exact same thing as their SD channel.e

OK? Almost all of the HD channels are exactly the same as the SD channels, except when HD content is on. And for some channels (more than just Fuel) there hasn't been any HD content at all yet. Just give it time.

I just had DTV installed yesterday. All I can say is my 11 year old son has not stopped watch FUEL TV yet. He would have pulled an all nighter if I let him. As for HD or SD I honestly haven't watched enough to tell you. My son is happy one way or they other.
