Hmm....no HD icons throughout the guide so far (even on Damages).
Hopefully this is just error in the data, and not a SD-Upconvert network

IIRC,it seems that the majority of the new HD channels coming online lately takes awhile for the guide to populate/update the HD info from D*.

No stretch-o-vision, and SD upconvert for old shows ("Malcolm in the middle" is on right now) looks OK.

Does anyone know if "It's always sunny in Philadelphia" is produced in HD? It's quite possibly the funniest show on television (if you have a sick sense of humor, that is).

Damages has to (better) be in HD.
I guess I'll find out on Tuesday.

Right now, there is no bug on the HD channel. I know it won't last, but it's still nice!

Correct me if i'm wrong but has SCIFI added the HD logo in the guide? I don't believe it has. They still show content in HD but you never know what is shown in HD and what is shown in SD until you watch the program. FX could follow the same pattern.

Hi guys, I was a long time directv customer, switched over to crapcast in feb when I bought my HDTV (mainly for a quick HD fix, no contracts and no money down) and now i am awaiting their tivo rollout just to see what all the hub bub is on tivo (i was a long time ultimatetv user and loved it)
So my question is, FX is one of my fav networks... the shield, sunny, niptuck and rescue me! so, just because the 'station' is now considered HD does that mean that most or all these shows will be in HD? no right? I mean, just because the station offers HD doesn't mean the shows are... man, i am just chomping at the bit to come back to dtv, just want to see if tivo and some new stations roll out before resigning a 2 year agreement with dtv!
your input is appreciated! thx, riz

Well I am pretty sure Rescue Me is filmed in HD since it is out on Blue-Ray and maybe HD-DVD.

Damages is repeating the first 12 episodes in a marathon on Saturday. If HD, it might be worth watching again back-to-back. Or recommending to friends. 8AM E/5AM P

The Shield is great and so is Rescue Me but if I have my choice between seeing a sweaty bald head and crack whores or some beautiful T&A in HD I'll take the T&A!!

This was a great channel add to the HD lineup today. There is sometimes good programming to be had for the recording. Cartoon Network and HGTV too.
Good thinking & thanks!

One of my favorite shows on right now. I don't think it is in HD. I've only ever seen it in 4:3. Plus the season one DVD is out now....not available in HDDVD or BD.
Either way....at least the PQ for the show will be greatly improved. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

No bug is definitely nice. If these channels really feel they need a bug, they should follow the example of the ABC HD bug - small, transparent, and in the corner of the screen.

I'm pretty sure "Damages" is HD. Someone commented about MyNetwork showing "Damages" OTA in HD. I've held off on watching the last few episodes, hoping DirecTV would add the HD feed and spare me the misery of watching them in SD.

Me too. This morning I scheduled the episodes I have not watched yet to record on Saturday.
