No Closed Captioning on SCIFI-HD. Looks like I have to complain to NBC. I'm guessing that it won't be quick to come since they've yet to fix this on Universal-HD. I imagine Bravo-HD--also an NBC owned channel--is without captioning too.

I have to say I was very surprised we got this one so quickly. I was really expecting this one to be a few weeks away since it was the one channel I really wanted. Way to go D*! Now just have to wait for some HD content to see how it looks and hope they don't stretch the non HD stuff. The infocommerical looks normal so there is hope strech-o-vision won't exist here.

Hard to tell about the PQ so far (when are the infomercials going to be produced in HD ). My TV says I'm getting it in 1080i.

Yeah. I wonder about that. Nothing marked as HD in the guide.

I already changed mine. I figure the guide is just lagging behind. This happened last week with some of the channels as well. I figure it will be listed as HD by Friday.

Obviously the cams they use for investigations wouldn't be HD... but hopefully they could at least record the rest of the show in HD to get with the times...

Beastmaster is in letterbox, which would seem to indicate it's an HD show--strange they aren't showing it in HD. (At least they're not showing it in stretch-o-vision. TNT/History Channel/TBS, are you paying attention?)

BTW, could they make their on-screen logo (with the Ghost Hunters promo) any more conspicuous?

Now that the Red One HD cam is shipping I hope more small production companies will shoot in true HD.

I find it interesting that there is very little if any promo of the sci fi network in hd on its own website...

Indeed, on both counts....
