NHL Center Ice Saturday November 22

There are lots of games on NHL Center Ice today but it looks as if there will be no Hockey Night In Canada feeds even though there is a 3 PM game between Ottawa and the Rangers which only shows one feed with and HD link that means it will be MSG and then there is a 7:30 game between Boston and Montreal which again shows an HD link meaning it will be NESN.

Why is it that DirecTV will not show the CBC HNIC feeds when they are available and are listed as being shown on InDemand and Dish Network?

At least the NHL Network picks up coverage at 6 PM today for the Patrick Roy ceremony in Montreal

Yes the NHL Network is serving those of us who wish to watch Hockey Night in Canada's superb coverage of hockey. My issue is with DirecTV and trying to figure out why they will not show multiple feeds of HNIC when they are available and are being shown on other services that have NHL Center Ice.

maybe after College football season is over they will pay enough attention to it to pick up those feeds and the CSN Philly HD feeds as well ....

Looking ahead at the NHL Network Schedule it looks as if they are carrying all three NHL games in the Hockey Day in Canada package. Whether or not they will carry the surrounding program is another matter, but I suspect DirecTV will be unlikely to pick up just the non NHL game stuff. We should probably start emailing the NHL Network about this.

I saw the Ottawa and the Rangers game just fine and last year I saw all of the Hockey day in Canada package of course I saw via Dish Network.
If all this is really important to you just switch to Dish.

I missed the Patrick Roy ceremony last night, but doesn't NHL Network (215) turn on their CBC HNIC feed at 6:30pm?

Yes but they covered a different game, and NHL network is 215. CBC carries different games on HNIC on different CBC stations and the game NHL network picked was not the Bruins/Habs game.

The NHL Network had the entire Patrick Roy ceremony on last night.

On another note, did anyone else notice when the NHL Network went to the Habs game after the Leafs game was over that the feed was very blurry?

The Habs game was broadcast widescreen SD on CBC.

That explains the bad quality.

The NESN announcers are so bad, I try not to watch that feed if at all possible.

To say nothing of their directing. Try watching a shootout on NESN and see if you can even tell when a goal is scored or not.
