Post ESPNU is moving

ESPNU is moving from the Classic Gold 250 package to the Classic Bronze 100 package, effective tomorrow evening.

The channel, currently on Ch. 148, will move to Ch. 141.

Hopefully it will going HD soon too. I wonder is ESPN Classic will be moving up also as it has with other providers. Maybe if they issue a press release about this, it can get a headline on the homepage. I bet alot more people will be happy about this than "Local on the 8's in HD"

Does this mean we will be seeing something new on 148?

I only have the Gold package for ESPNU's affiliation with SEC Network. Oh man, this comes at a great time for my wallet.

So what is the reason for this move? I know its not that Dish wants to give some the option to downgrade their package. Im REALLY hoping this is a sign...that in order to get a deal for ESPNUHD, they had to move it to a lower package. But even if thats the case, who knows when Dish will actually turn it on?

ESPN is allowing providers to swap packages for ESPN Classic and ESPNU. On D*, ESPN Classic has moved to the sports pack and ESPNU has moved out of it.
