Are your programs in HD?
The channel says HD and the shows say HD but the picture isn't. Oprah and Ellen both say HD but show up in SD (no, i don't normally watch those shows...it's just an example, hehe!)

Sherman,Tx and Ada,Ok. Locals-no NBC Kten

In our market we also have KTEN 10 an NBC channel.
It is not in the press release.
Does anyone know why?
Are negotiations in progress for this station?

A lot of times with syndicated programming if it's available in HD, the guide will show it as such, whether the local station rebroadcasts it in HD or not.

That's what I thought, but I guess I was still suprised. I expect to see primetime shows and sports in HD. We'll see how it looks tonight.

Thanks.

That's Minot's "slogan". Funny you should mention that, as a kid, my mom worked for the chamber of commerce, I remember those stickers and buttons around the house.

I'll check out the signal when I go home for Christmas , but I'm sure my parents will still use OTA because they'll want their local news. All the sat feeds are from the Bismark affiliate, which is 100 miles away.

They probably want the CW affliate that KTEN has to be uplinked also. They got that deal with E* last time around after KTEN was pulled off the air for a while.

Interestingly, the CW channel is already uplinked along with KTEN. Hopefully, they get things worked out soon. The link DBSooner posted is encouraging.

H20 Reception Problems-Local Channels

Thank you for the posts regarding KTEN 10. Hopefully we will have it and
the CW channel soon.
I just wanted to report on a brief problem receiving the HD local channels
12 and 13.
As I previously reported I received an H20 and an HR20 receivers for the
switch to HD LiL channels. Since they did not supply the BBCs these
could not see two of the satellites (of course, the local channels) and I
had to call Directv and get them sent to me.
I received them yesterday and installed them at lunch.
Problem solved.
Well, almost. The HR20 was fine. Local channels everything was great.
The H20 had problems. So I swapped the BBCs, checked the connections
etc. All satellites did show good readings and the Guide shows everything
icluding the local channels.
When I turned to channels 12 and 13 I had sound but no picture.
The receiver also reported faulty multiswitch.
Since everything else was OK I doubted that and called Directv Tech.
It turned out to be a software problem. The installed software was 4104.
With a download the problem was solved.
I thought this might be helpful to someone else.
