Need Technical Help

I am an experienced technical satcom tech, I have service with DNS, Heres my deal, I have 2 722k's one for home and one that goes on the road with me, my question is,,,,, I am working in the Atlanta area, set up a temp dish 1000.2 everything works great, except the locals because of the spot beam.

My question is, is there any way to get the Spotbeam from the St. louis area, down here in Atlanta, keep in mind that I can do just about anything dish wise, i am very educated on installation, so if theres any way I can set up a secondary dish to get just those local spotbeams, that would be cool. HELP

No. One of several reasons for spotbeams is to prevent unauthorized out-of-market reception of local signals. But it's physically impossible to receive a signal when you are outside of the spot; that's exactly what allows multiple spots on the same frequencies in the first place.

being an experienced satcom whatever, you should already know that unless you are within the spot beam's footprint from a sat, you can't receive it on the ground...

If he travels to the St. Louis area, he would be in the footprint but may be locked out due to the fact that his home address is somewhere else.

Cancel that. I read it wrong. I thought he was from Atlanta not St. Louis.

Question asked and answered + it sounds like the OP is trying to do something he shouldn't be doing anyway, so closing this thread.
