L608 is now on my VIP612

11:30 pm and I'm on the computer with the tv and sat box off when I suddenly it goes into a reboot 3 1/2 hours early. At first I'm thinking now this thing even locks up when it is off, so I wait until the fan finally shuts up and the box turns off and then I decide, just for fun, I'll check the software rev and low and behold it's L608. I hope this fixes the hard lockups that can't be reset with the power button and the stutters that always happen with picture and sound when I'm in delayed playback and the gross pixilation I see when I do a skip-back, etc.

Edit: A quick check for the repeatable problems I mentioned and so far so good. Even the audio sync delay after skip-forwards is gone. Audio is now there instantly. Now I'll have to wait for a few weeks to see if I still get the occasional hard lock-ups that will only clear with a power plug reset. I ALSO SEE THAT I NOW HAVE VOLUME LEVELING under system setup!!! I also did a Guide selection Preference for "Guide button" and it DOES NOT default to back to "Guide popup" after a power button reset. YES!!
