Well, considering there is no ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox affiliate on the island, I don't think so. It is also not considered a TV market by Nielsen. So my guess is no.
I probably confused that. I was thinking "Must Carry/Consent to Carry" which is in the FCC rules, not SHVIA (sorry - my bad).

They do have room for six more channels ... but unless they are forced, I don't see anything compelling in the channels left out.

Lurker, I am pretty sure you are correct and Must Carry does not apply there. Also as DDRio mentioned, some of these channels are repeated on satellite channels or have lousy signal in San Juan proper. The only one that is a sentimental favorite of mine that is missing is WSTE Super Siete. When this channel hit the air when I was a kid, it ran Speed Racer (or course in Spanish). I loved that show.

Anyway, Super Siete has several repeaters on channel 7 throughout the island. I'm not sure why this one was left out of the mix.

See ya

You have it listed as one of the six in your post above.
(Although your dishlist website has CH13 instead of CH7 as "in".)

I made mistake. Channel 13 is in. Channel 7 is not. I just looked at a program listing...looks like no big loss right now. Mostly infomercials. It goes off the air at 11pm too.

They are putting together an Interactive channel called NBC OLYMPIC SHOWCASE.

It has 6 channels on one screen. They are

1 NBC(currently a DISH Logo)
2 MSNBC
3 CNBC
4 USA
5 Bravo
6 Telemundo

There are audio selections to let one listen to any one of the 6 channels.

This channel is apparently not available to subscribers at this time.

I didn't. It is a composite they put together on one channel.

The way it looks, the receiver is not tuned into 6 channels at once Dish is uplinking a channel that has 6 squeeze-zoomed channels on it. It is a seventh channel showing the 6 together. The Open TV feature allows you to easily select any one channel, but the receiver has to tune to that channel. :-)

See ya

It would be interesting if they ended up moving the five national channels around on the satellites so they were all on the same transponder ... and make switching between them faster. Right now they are all spread out.

As it stands, the multiplex is required to be it's own video feed and the six audio feeds have to take up more space on that transponder. Hmmm ... have they done a channel with that many audio feeds before?

And it's interesting to see "TVGuide" as #7 ... as if that is going to help.

The NBC feed is a good questionmark too. I expect that the multiplex will show the dish logo when no Olympic coverage is running and the national feed (as a thumbnail) when the Olympics are on. I can't imagine not having the option to tune completely to each channel (not just the audio) from the menu. The NBC could jump to your local NBC, if you have locals.

I wonder if people without NBC as a distant or local will get a multiplex without NBC (just the Dish logo as shown) and those who have subscribed will get the thumbnail?

And then there is the issue of Olympics in HD. Probably outside the scope of this application.

So many questions ... thanks JohnH for the teasing picture!

I don't think it is within the capability of the app. to provide more than one configuration of the six sources at any one time. So, it will be NBC(Maybe downconverted HD?) for everyone or the logo for everyone.

BTW: Lurker, it is TID 224 FTA.

Note, there is a black box(bottom center) in the MSNBC window, now.

Bravo and MSNBC are also not a part of AT60.

But that screen isn't using the channels, it's a channel of its own. But it would still make sense for people to be able to watch those channels.
