WQED to be sold

The FCC has agreed to allow Pittsburg's WQED to a broadcast company who will turn the station to commercial.

Wrong!!!!!!! WQED is not being sold. Their other, small UHF station (channel 16) is being sold and the license is to be changed to commercial. When channel 16 was first on the air, in the early 1950's it was a commercial station which, like many other UHF stations of that era, could not survive and went dark. The license was eventally turned over to an educational outlet. It's calls are WQEX. For the past few years it has simply been simulcasting WQED's programming.

Its a rip of public tv license and the president of WQED is a thief for doing such a thing..... I hope the decision gets reversed or nationwide lots of educational channels will go dark. The simelcast was a ploy to make WQED seem redundant.
