Call the Dish Network RMA Department, they will sell you one (I believe for $49.
Hope this helps.

Scott is correct, I just got one.
Interesting note: I called Dish Network because my dog chewed my remote up. The gentleman gave me an RA no. to use when I returned my remote, it was billed under warranty . (my remote was in pieces, nothing left hardly, I think my dog a "Black Labrador Retriever" ate some of it.)
I got my remote in the mail yesterday, there was some paperwork with it stating "I did not need to return the old remote" it stated smart cards and receivers are the only things that need returned.
I'm assuming I just got a remote for free?
I'm assuming I will get billed for the $14.99 shipping?

John,
I too ordered a remote under the waranty program and was not required to return the remote. Although I did get billed on my Monthly DIsh billed for the $14,99 shipping charge. All in all it was worth the replacement as my original remote was for my Model 4000 and still worked except for very hard key presses on 2 remote keys. Dish sent me a PVR 501 remote instead, woo who since I have 2 PVR 501's. I now use the PVR 501 remotes in three rooms so when I need to channel change on the Model 4000, or eitehr ofthe PVR's I just change the remote address while in sat mode on the PVR remotes and I can control all three receivers from any room in the house with all three remotes.

I think the fact of the matter is that, any remotes Dish gets back under warrenty do not come back in good condition and are not worthwhile fixing. Its probably cheaper for Dish to overcharge you $15 to ship out a replacement remote which probably costs them a few dollers to manufacture, than it is for them to pay the ship the old remote back!
