How will you indicate channels which get carriage on D* - by date added & channel number?

Yeah, I know, but the list indicates "HD coming". I'll designate it as combined when the channel number lights up.

Which likely means they'll be Vs. HD whenever there is no NHL game on, but if there is a hockey game, they'll morph into the Golf channel HD for that night.
I suppose its better than NBC HD which isn't in HD in Reno whenever there's a hockey game.

I know TMC only has East Coast feed at the moment, I could be wrong... If you have a link to a definitive E/W carriage of the rest of the premium movie channels please post it. It's been discussed on the boards but I can't find a p.r. or article indicating E/W carriage.
However, I do expect it.

No offense Venice, but since it's a combined channel, I would go ahead and combine it. That way, nobody will get the wrong idea thinking this will be a full-time simulcast channel.
Also, isn't "The Weather Channel" supposed to be added to DirecTV in September as well?
Another thing, is all those channels listed for September supposed to be coming in September? I ask this, because while I've read most of them will be available this Fall, only a few of them listed have I seen confirmation that DirecTV intends to offer them this September.

Not to change the topic, but as a fan of golf in HD, I'm still trying to figure out how
the Golf HD channel is serving its viewer base by showing hockey instead of one
of the lesser PGA-sanctioned tournaments played/televised locally or regionally
each week.

I'll go ahead and combine the Golf/Versus, and push the Weather up to September since you are correct on it... I'm working from a list I started a couple of months ago so I missed that.
The others I have listed as September are existing channels that will be available once the new Sat is active. They already have carriage agreements but are waiting for the bandwith. Such as NGC, Food, A&E. DirecTV has already stated that have agreements with the remaining premium movie channels that they do not carry.
Some of the September channels that already exist may in fact move up to August... It all depends on how quickly DirecTV 10 goes online.

It's beginning to look like I'll have to upgrade to the 5LNB dish and the HR20 a little earlier than I thought. We don't yet have our locals in SD much less HD, so I hope getting these national HD channels won't mess up my DNS.

D*'s original press release said "an expanded line-up of HD programming available from all premium movie channels." This doesn't implicitly mean east and west so yeah, you can't list the west coast movie channels as official yet. I did notice from the link you posted about the History Channel HD and A&E HD that Starz will offer HD west coast versions its Starz Comedy, Starz Edge and Starz Kids and Family channels. Those are more potential channels for D* to offer.

Sorry for deviating...tournaments are typically during the day. Hockey on Versus is on from October - May in the evenings. Day games on weekends and are only on Network broadcast or RSN.
How does that conflict with any golf tournament?

Didn't the deal the MLB extra innings mention an MLB HD channel next year? I also thought I read about NBA HD too.
Do we want to mention all the Sunday Ticket games and all of MLB games in HD for 2008?

MLB channel launches in 2009 but I'm not sure about HD.
Is NBA HD a full time or part time channel? I know we get games every once in awhile on 95, same as Versus. I haven't heard on NBA channel on DirecTV full time yet.
There are a few other channels that I have no info on getting carried on DirecTV such as Outdoor, Wealth, and MoJo (I doubt this one will get on.)

Cant seem to find a press release for it but I could swear that I read somewhere then when the Big Ten Network starts up there would also be an HD feed and that D* would carry that as well. Maybe Im not looking in the right places.
