No. It's in the family package which is the lowest base package.

I didn't see this one this morning...my son won the battle of the remotes and put it on Noggin. I'll have to check it out later today. How was the PQ? The previews looked stunning a while back, but I saw that this channel was going to be 720p and not 1080i. Can someone confirm this?

When I glanced at NGC-HD this morning, it seemed like it was showing a non-HD infomercial of some kind so I really don't know what the picture quality will be like. Glad to see we're finally getting it and am looking forward to watching more of it starting tonight!

Took 'em long enough. Now if they can put on some actual HD programming...

I had NGCHD via Comcast for several months (just switched to D* this week). They don't stretch anything, but some programming (and most NGC promos for their other shows) are zoomed/upconverted SD.
Overall, though, NGCHD was one of the most watched channels I had w/ Comcast whenever I watched "live" (non-DVRed) TV. Nice that I only had to live w/o it for a couple of days.
Considering the number of HD stations I have now via D* (and seeing 4 new HDs pop up just this morning), it's a wonder this long-time Comcast-er hasn't had a heart attack from all the excitement .

I'm glad NGC finally went HD, looks good. Hopefully they have plenty of HD content.

I'm surprised to hear the part about the upconverted SD. I read awhile back that NGC prepared to go HD for more than a year by recording their programming in HD long before they were ready to show it in HD. I was under the impression that almost all NGC originals were HD.
