No problem here. Got them all. How great is it that we have both coasts in HD!!!! Brotherhood, Dexter, Weeds, Californication, Meadowlands.......... They all usually conflicted for me and I had to wait a day or two to catch the repeat. Not any more.......... same day now in HD!!!!!
This is awesome!

Are we getting both the Showtime and TMC channels for free this weekend? Or just the Showtime channels?

Nevermind my problem is solved. Does anyone know if 537 is MPEG2 mirrored from 71 or is it MPEG4 from D10?

I think it's MPEG2 mirrored from 71. I wish it was MPEG4.

I think so too. No point in moving SLs to save drive space if it's MPEG2.

I wonder why Into the Blue is not listed as being in HD at 12:30? I know there is an HD transfer available since the movie is available on BD.

Could just be a guide data issue. Many reports of inaccurate guide data have been found today.

A work around would be to watch/record the new Showtime West HD.

Good call. Thanks.
On a separate note: I know we are getting the Showtime channels free this weekend. Are we also getting the The Movie Channel (TMC) channels free too (channels 544 and 545)? Thanks.

Showtime Freview For This Weekend 9/29-9/30?
Can anyone confirm if their is a Showtime Freeview this weekend?
Maybe they are doing this so that people will see that ShowTime now has:
Showtime HD (71 or 537)
SHO Too HD (538)
Showtime HD West (540)
This also gives a great opportunity to compare
Showtime HD (71) MPEG2
to
Showtime HD West (540) MPEG4
I have only done limited testing but it will be hard for DIRECTV to defend the MPEG2's as not being HD-lite. Especially now that we can compare the exact same feed in lite and regular.

Why is there a 537 and a 543. These are both Showtime aren't they? The same thing that is also on 71?
Three of the exact same channel?

I've now watched 2 movies recorded off of Showtime West HD over the weekend, and both had some sort of strange distortion in the form of a horizontal line all the way across the screen. It was about 1/5 of the way up from the bottom, which happened to fall right in the middle of the (very very annoying) "call now to order showtime" banners, which is also when it's also most noticeable. There's sort of a disconnect between the top half and bottom half of the letters, as if that line of 3-4 pixels is shifted or somethign. It's less noticeable during the normal course of the movie, but once the credits start to roll it's very obvious again. Anyone else seeing this?
