I have exactly the same issue on local CBS recordings in the Baltimore area.. I think all primetime recordings on CBS in HD are the same.

Hey AZ Engineer, I am an "AZ Engineer" as well. I keep it on the downlow exactly who I work for (FOX KSAZ and MyTV KUTP in PHX, just between U and me) as I don't really want them identifying me on the forum (in case I should slip and say the wrong thing, if you know what I mean :D). Are you in broadcast here locally as well? Regardless, welcome to the forum. Good contributions so far!:)

Just got off the phone with Dish. I have Speed and FX in red on my guide. They are telling me that they are not active yet. Are you watching those channels? The CSR is telling me that no one should have them yet.

Tunce, I disagree. This is an opportunity for WISN to show the public they have their best interests in mind and an opportunity to show the weakness of a competitor. Eventually we will have HD on DTV from CBS and WISN will have lost the opportunity to defend the viewing audience. Also thought of contacting American TV, Best Buy, Sears etc. because they sell DTV packages and you can be assured are hot telling consumers they can't get CBS in HD.

Just read your post on "spontaneous" restarts on your Dish equipment. Like that term better. Been using "random" restarts searching for a solution to an identical problem with my DirecTV DVRs, an R10 in particular. I'd appreciate your feedback on one point. I've renewed the HDD w/larger capacity but identical model/specs; installed two HDD cooler fans, replaced the case fan with higher capacity, replaced the power supply with known good, raised the case 3/16" to increase airflow in through the bottom grilles and placed a new APC UPS in front of the unit. The problem is only getting worse. You mentioned using a "voltage regulator". I've been told an Isolating Transformer, such as a Tripp Lite IS250, would give me a steady supply of even current with no dips, spikes or drop outs. Isn't that a different animal than what you used? If it isn't then I don't want to waste my time and money trying one out.

Hey, bud, I am a big F1 fan too, living a little west of Lowell MA. I can hook you up with a copy of the race. If you are interested in torrents, I belong to a website that hosts only racing torrents; I put my copy of the practices, qualis, and races up on that site. If you're interested I'm happy to help out a fellow F1 fan.
