IIRC, yes, but you'd need to connect it to the receiver, aim it at the 61.5 slot and peak it and you'd get only that bird.

I've not found anything that can reach the whole arc from 61.5 to 119 in DBS but the ATCi Simulsat 7 can do thirty-seven(37) satellites across a seventy-five degree arc.

Right. For a while, I had one head of a twin aimed at 61.5 and the 20" dish brought it in real nice (and it was at only 14 degrees elevation). The other head of course was unused.

Personally, I kind of like having two dishes up there :-). But a dish that can cover 75 azimuth should be able to get 110, 119 and 148. Now that would be cool.

If you live on the west coast, you dont need to see 61.5.  Much of the programming on 61.5 is repeated on 148, and 148 is easier to "see" from the west coast.

And if your'e looking for one dish that can point at three birds, you might want to check out www.multilnbdish.com This awesome dish can look at 110, 119 and 148 all at once.

Thanks,
Switching to dishpro and 500 twin is easier to get than 300 single.
Will have two dishes, 61.5 for Japanese.

Yes, TV Japan is on both 51.5 and 148. There are a few reasons to have access to both slots though.

Not on 148-
-HD Demo Channel
-Sky Angel
-A few internationals not on 148
-Expand the dish farm :)

Good reminder. But many places can't manage more than one dish without property owner, zoning, property association hassles and the FCC edict has been somewhat eaten back by court decisions...

Maybe some of us should get to our workshops and do some experimentation with more extreme dish designs. So far, we have the usual parabolic reflectors, the variant toroidal which uses compound reflection, refraction as seen in the Cybertenna, etc.

Grazing incidence? Hmmm... I need to get out to the garage this summer and get a new spectrum analyzer.
