Hi all. I can't seem to get my TV programmed on my DirecTV remote. The sat box works fine however. I've tried all of the codes listed and none seem to work. Are there any codes not listed I can try?

This is my setup currently:

H23-600
Vizio M220MV 22" LED
RC65RX Remote in RF mode

try codes 11758, 10178, and 10056:

1 tv
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT, wait for two blinks, release
3. enter 1 1 7 5 8

Thanks Edmund. It wound up being user error after all. I moved this remote upstairs as it's the only RF-capable one I have and I needed RF for this new setup. Totally forgot that I had originally set it up for the home theater, with AV1 as the default volume control. Doh. So I just reset the whole thing back to zero and re-set it up from scratch and voila. Thanks again.

try code 31370.

It now controls the AVR, but the buttons I push don't match what it does?!?!?

Any other suggestions?

try code 31477.

I lose control of the AVR with that code. :(

Anything else?

With 31370 it works in AV1 mode, I can change the volume up with 0 and down with 8 as well as other functions with the number buttons in that mode.

Sorry have no more codes to give, you could try codesearching by volume, with stereo on and volume up but muted:

1. av1 or av2
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT, wait for two blinks, release
3. enter 9 9 1
4. enter 3
5. press and release VOL UP
6. point the remote at stereo, keep pressing and releasing CH UP, if and when the volume changes
7. press SELECT to lock in code

now to lock in volume:

1. av1 or av2
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT, wait for two blinks, release
3. enter 9 9 3
4. press VOL DOWN

Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of the buttons.... I ask because when I press a key it repeats itself. Only happens with my new R65r remote. My other remotes work fine.

Has anyone found the right code for Mitsubishi tv. None of the codes power the the tv on or off. Only when the slider is set to tv on the remote does the power switch work. Kind of defeats the purpose.

With the RC64R and/or the RC64RX, I'm wondering if the programmed codes can affect whether the volume up/down can be controlled with one continual button push, or if the remotes only let you raise/lower one increment at a time (often requiring multiple presses). The manufacturers remote doesn't require multiple button presses.

I'm playing with the list of codes below, and it seems like one of them once allowed me to just hold down volume up/down. I've lost that code

The TV is a Samsung PN50c550.

Samsung Codes I'm trying are 10060, 10812, 10702, 10030, 10178, 10019, 10766, 11060, 10056, 10814, 10032, 10217

10812 is the one that normally does what you want with all Samsungs.

Both my Sammys have a smooth volume control via their remotes, but I cannot recall what code I used. If it's available somewhere I'd be happy to share it. I also don't know how to confirm what model remote I have.

OTOH, I think I just used the first one that came up.

Took way too long to compose a reply!

Hope that one works, and I'd like to know - do I find my remote's model in the System Info?

10812 works, but volume isn't smooth. 11903 offers smooth volume, but other menu functions when the slider is on TV doesn't work (like menu for the TV).

Both those use NECx2 protocol which has exactly the same volume behavior. You may be thinking of some other code.

Here are the codes that yield different volume behavior when a button is held (not all codes may be present in all remotes):

NECx1: 10060, 10427, 10600, 10644, 11060
NECx2: 10618, 10702, 10812, 11235, 11249, 11312, 11395, 1145, 11584, 11619, 11630, 11632, 11678, 11903, 11908

The x1 group all behaves one way and the x2 group all behaves another. Find one code from either group that has the volume behavior you want. Then try the others in that group until you get the other functions you want. I can't recall because I no longer have a samsung tv, but I think x2 is the smooth volume group.

The above codes are just one particular class (they share the same device and subdevice code, which both happen to be 7 in this case). There are many more samsung TV codes besides these. If you post a partially working code, I can tell you all the other compatible codes, or you can find them yourself with the JP1 Lookup Tool. To do that, search for the working code, note the protocol, device and subdevice, then search those to get the other codes.

Thank you for the great info! I cheered when I got to Code 11312. It seems to have smooth volume AND extensive functionality (menu, menu nav, etc) of my Samsung PN50c550.

When we got our HR box there was a handy guide showing a picture of the DirecTV remote and the functions of each button.
Does an image or a .pdf of this guide exist somewhere?

Why doesn't my remote turn on/off my tv when I use the 'ON' button on the remote to turn the satellite receiver and tv on at the same time?

TV Model: Toshiba 27A44
Remote Model: RC65RX (IR remote for HR-24)

I am able to make it work on my other TV/sat receiver setup, but not this one. I end up using the slider at the top, which works when I press the PWR button. It's more of a nusiance but it would be nice to have it work. I have selected the proper manufacturer and model on my receiver setup for the TV on the remote, but it still won't do it quite right.
