I got a H20-600 here in Cedar Rapids IA. Like another thread states, we got an ice storm just ending here. I wound up having to chip the ice off the dish about 10 minutes ago, now have a signal.

What I got occurring is strange. After about 5-60 seconds and continuously, the time stamp from the guide shows up in its exact spot...but with no guide info. Its like someone pressed "show time only" from the guide, and this pops up and doesn't go away until you change channels or hit View twice...then it pops back up again after a short time, like every time a minute passes. It started doing this about 10am this morning, way before I cleaned the dish. When I cleaned the dish, I held it in place so I wouldn't turn it at all, and I never touched the lnb's.

I got the 2042 firmware version (latest), signals in 90's on all 5 birds, all channels show as normal except for this time stamp not going away.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Have you reset it?

Nope - just hoping it would go away, working on computer anyway.

It cleared - thanks for the suggestion, no idea why I didn't think of it.

Now, if I could fix the mis-mapping of one of my OTA locals (9-1 and 9-2 come in as 52-21 and 52-20...yes, backwards, and on their UHF channels but backwards and with the added zero - weird, I'd think they'd be 52-1 and 52-2). 9-1 and 2 are in the local settings menu, but my guide doesn't recognize them.

Cool, I thought a reset would do it as the same thing's happened to me.

As for the other, that's weird all right. What do you mean when you say 9-1 and 2 are in the local settings menu, exactly? Do you mean when you go to check the signal strength, they appear there?

I'm no OTA expert, but I'd try and rescan the channels, if you haven't already. That's about all I can think of to suggest.

This is being moved to the HD receiver forum for more help and discussion.

This seems to be a PSIP problem. Your receiver is either not using this data to remap to the correct channel numbers or the station has a problem with their PSIP system. Are other OTA stations okay?
DirecTV since '96, Waivers for ABC, CBS, NBC, & Fox, HR23-700 & HR24-500/AM21, using ethernet based MRV.

I had the date/time problem myself. I reset my receiver and ALL my locals (OTA and D* supplied) were gone. Once I rescanned my OTA channels, they were all out of whack.

Here is what I did:

1. Reset receiver
2. Go to Setup, Sat & Ant, Antenna Setup, and set Local Markets (enter zip code)
3. Scan for Channels to scan for OTA channels.

Basically, what it says on page 37 of the manual...Worked like a charm...
