so this weeks game against the Jests marks the THIRD time this season that DirectTV has failed to air a Miami Dolphins game in HD on Superfan, even though the game is being broadcast in HD by CBS.

so this is what my $100 dollars gets me.

I think alot of people want to watch Miami go 0-16 in HD. Detroit went 0-12 in 2001 until they finally disappointed America by winning a game. And the Dolphins almost blew it against the Steelers on MNF.

We're keeping our fingers crossed.

I'm not trying to be unsympathetic but you do realize they are winless don't you? Does it surprise you that with limited HD capacity for NFL games, the networks and/or DirecTv would choose to have the winless (and pretty much hapless) Dolphins in SD?

I thought that directv carries all games in HD that are recorded in HD? I believe this one is on the networks and their limitations. You may want to check your facts.

But in a way, on a national level, isn't watching a team go winless as interesting as watching a team go undefeated? I would rather see if Miami actually win a game in HD than see a couple 4-6 also rans against each other.

Also CBS is choosing to show Miami/Jets in HD rather than Denver/Oakland.

This is true however this is the THIRD time this season. DirecTv might not care about the Dolphins, but they do have fans who have paid money to watch them (win or lose).

Can't they pick on another team? Like the 49ers or Rams?

Have you seen what the fans wear in Oakland? It's scary enough in SD. In HD it's even worse! :eek2:

Poor Dolphin fans, CBS is adding "insult to injury". Not Directv's choice. Is watching a team go winless interesting? No. I did watch them last week on Monday Night Football.

It's CBS, not Directv.

My bad - upon further review, the game is being carried by CBS in HD - so the Broncos game is the only game not in HD.

You're correct about the paying fans of the Dolphins. They paid just as much as everybody else. But, I guess, given the choice, either DirecTV or the networks would logically choose a losing team (in this case the most losing team) to be in SD. Again, I'm not being unsympathetic to Phin fans but I understand the logic.

....and no, I do not find watching complete ineptness interesting in any way.

Nope.....CBS has the game in H/D for National dist. It is DirecTV using
"flex" schedule for a more larger viewing area....

either the networks or DirecTv should have a different
way.....like lotto....put both names of the teams on
a ball & spin it around & the 1st ball out gets SD....only fair
way to do it as i see.....online voting would lead to lets say
Patriot haters keeping them from any HD games....

Yeah but to a true fan the win loss record is thrown out if you just want to see the game. I can see where he is coming from

Here's a THOUGHT....bare with me.............

The Miami Dolphins go without a win this year!!

While the New England Patriots go undefeated!!

Thus Breaking the record of the undefeated Dolphins in the 70's!!!

That would be Karma to the MAX..if it were to turn out this way!!!!
