Anybody having a crappy picture on tonites Sunday nite football on NBC?? It comes in the gets fuzzy. All my other HD's are fine except NBC. Using my OTA Silver Sensor it's great but via DTV it simply sucks> just wondering before I place a call to those smart CSR's @ DTV.

NBCs HD sports wise is usually this crappy. Nothing unusual to me.

Picture here in NC is better than SD, but not as good as CBS's HD, but it'll do.

Why would you waste time talking to a CSR?

NBC HD sucks, always has. Nothing different now. Don't understand why these threads keep popping up as nothing has changed in 6+ years of cruddy NBC HD sports. :D

It would look better if the stations didn't multicast NBC Weather Plus and those other secondary channels.

Macro-blocking, mosquito effect, just about as usual for NBC Sunday Night Football. BTW, it looks just the same via OTA as it does MPEG4 through DIRECTV, at least that's the case in Denver. I don't think you can blame this one on DIRECTV. Crap is crap.

I was noticing last night that our (DFW) NBC has really gotten better! The last week has been amazing with much less macro-blocking. I recorded Friday Night Lights, which can be hell on overcompressed channels b/c of its close ups & camera movements, and it looked great!

Thumbs up, Directv.
If you stop responding to them or put them on ignore, then eventually they'll go away.

I saw the same thing on WGRZ (which I assume you were watching too). I switched over to OTA and did not see the same problems as I did when watching on D*. The other Buffalo HD locals via D* were not affected, so it had to be something with WGRZ being uplinked to D*.

That's the same experience I had too. And, I'm no stranger to HD looking crappy on NBC, but it was much worse than usual during the game. It looked like we were pulling in a poor analog OTA feed. Something must have been up between WGRZ and DirecTV.
