http://www.skyangel.com/ now has the IPTV packages and subscriptions up.

This includes an offer for a "Free Set-top Box" and a "30-Day Risk-Free Trial".
"For a limited time new subscribers to Sky Angel IPTV can receive a free set-top box with an 18-month commitment. This offer is good with all 3 of our faith and family packages."
"Along with the free set-top box offer, Sky Angel is offering a 30-day risk-free trial. If you find that for some reason you wish to cancel your subscription, act within the first 30 days of activation and avoid any cancellation fees that may apply otherwise."

they split the site into 2 parts, DBS and IPTV, No mention of cancelling DBS though. Also says:

Please note that if you are not a Beta Tester, your equipment will not be shipped until after January 7, 2008. Please allow 7-10 business days after this date to receive the equipment in the mail. If you have further questions about this, please feel free to call our customer service line at 1-888-759-2448.

TV through your broadband Internet connection.

You need a box that will connect to your router and get the programming through the Internet.

Got a brochure about the IPTV offering in the snail mail today. It says 1.5 MBPS recommended. I guess my 39 K is a bit slow. :)

It is a specialty package ... so if you are knocking religious and family channels in general you'r knocking on the wrong door.

There are some markets that have a fair number of religious DTV subchannels.

I received the brochure and I liked the options for the programming. My only problem is that I cannot get that fast of a connection.

Also realize that that is the connection needed to view IPTV on one TV only. More TVs, computers, game sstems requires even higher speed connection. also note that SATELLITe connections are NOT compatible. At first they only said Hughes, now the website says any satellite connection won't work for IPTV :(

I don't have a problem with the program lineup although I don't think GUARD was on it yet. they have added some good FTA channels such as smile of a child.

What I have a problem with is the way skyangel is treating its customers, particularly the lifers. They still haven't explained anywhere that I can see that DBS is ending. The brochures don't explain it, the website doesn't and they certainly have NOT sent any notice to lifetime members. Add to that what happened in Canada with IPTV shut off with no notice. shutting off for porn, good for them but to not inform its Canadian subscribers, almost 3 months later...............

I called our broadband company and they said we should have higher speeds by the new year. I still don't think we will be able to have SA and do the work DH needs to do online on the same connection.

All Dish gets is one more TP at 61.5 and a lot of legal work crossing the exec's desks to reclaim all the other TPs Dish already has on E*3.

I dont think that dish will put christian channels up on 61.5 but with sky angel off that ends the no adding of christian channels clause that they where under.
therefore they will want to match christian channel numbers that atleast direct has.....
So i think this is actually a good thing cause again sky angel doesnt really care about customer service like dish does...
they just wont pull the plug on a channel with no notice....
